Purple Ocean

Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 4:52PM This is my first post in about two months. I sincerely apologize for the delay.
My horrific lapse in content was caused chiefly by Technical Madness with my website; cyber bullshit that warrants no other comment than "I'm glad as fuck that it's over". Bottom Line: It's good to be back. I missed this. I missed you.
I took this photo when I was in Avalon, New Jersey, in late August.
Around the country, especially here on the east coast, New Jersey gets a bad rap. The state is the butt of endless jokes that ridicule it for virtually everything. Even the media gets into it. New Jersey is essentially a punch line for the joke of America.
I've lived in Massachusetts most of my life. But I have to say, I love New Jersey. Some of my most beloved friends on the planet come from that state. Many of them still live there. Some of the most memorable times of my life have been spent within its borders.
And the Jersey Shore is extra special to me. Even though my twenty year grand total of weeks spent there can be counted on one hand, it's all about Quality. Not Quantity. Whenever I'm down there, I always expect some sort of magic to happen. And it always does.
People. Places. Experiences. Life. How could I not love New Jersey?
